Big Cash Prizes an indie outfit from Stoke on Trent England made this superb video with next to nothing except their true belief in their own immortality as a fucking great band from Northern England. The sound they created goes with the indie scene that emerged from this rotten city a few years back and goes hand in hand with bands like Agent blue (a.k.a The Sport), New Education, Elvis, Motorhead and (are u avin a laf) new boy Robbie Williams of Take That and Fuck Off (dare i say it) F.A.M.E.
Spot the Difference...

The La’s were classic indie popsters from the Late 80′s and early 90′s. From Liverpool their song “There She Goes” will remain an English indie classic. Pictures of the original album art (from their only Album “The La’s”) and Lee Mavers and the band above.
Check this Fuckin shite, not live piss take video from very early on…wait tell the end when the dumb bitch interviewer asks some wank question and Lee Mavers tells to her to go fuck her self – “About WHAT???!!!!” with proper scouse lads response you’d hear in any Liverpool Boozer today…very amusing! (Also Look out for the coat hanging off one of the guitars).
Why was this band so cocky, ‘couldn’t be bothered’ and bored by it all when at the time (1989-1990) they could have blown the Manchester scene off the face of the whole bloody rainy North and shud have become the best band from Liverpool, and anywhere else in Britain, EVER!!! what a waste of pure talent.
This one though is pure class, as after a shite ‘we cant be bothered’ interview by some foreign bird, Mavers sings his fuckin heart out live with the song “Timeless Melody” accompanied by his acoustic guitar and by one of the younger scouse band members, John Powers of Cast fame. It just goes to show that Lee Mavers was an under achieving musical genius. Get it on…
