Big Cash Prizes an indie outfit from Stoke on Trent England made this superb video with next to nothing except their true belief in their own immortality as a fucking great band from Northern England. The sound they created goes with the indie scene that emerged from this rotten city a few years back and goes hand in hand with bands like Agent blue (a.k.a The Sport), New Education, Elvis, Motorhead and (are u avin a laf) new boy Robbie Williams of Take That and Fuck Off (dare i say it) F.A.M.E.
Spot the Difference...
Take a look you’ll be pleasantly surprised…Im gona start a campaign to get them back in the Underground (Hanley, Stoke) or Sugar Mill (Hanley, Stoke) b4 Christmas right here and now!!! (Put me and Duncan Hardy on the guest list)

This track was the warm up tune for The Stone Roses gigs and is an all time classic acid house dance track circa 1989. A Guy Called Gerald also remixed the Fools Gold track by The Stone Roses which is sound, every time i hear it on Napster it takes me back to the raves and indie dance clubs of London where it was played in the early 90′s.
Ian Brown has been a character in my life since 1989.
Front man of the Infamous and much respected band The Stone Roses he has recently been evolving his intellect, instinctual pulse and famed talent as a solo artist. His latest single is regularly played on mainstream radio and hes generally considered a masterful psychedelic guru..just listen to F.E.A.R. or any of the tracks of Solarized and you just know hes got it still just as much as when they led the Madchester Scene as the chief protagonists and much more talented than the scally bands that all hit the big time (like are you havin a fuckin laugh) Northside, The Inspiral Carpets (good at the time if you were on acid), The Charlatans (still going strong), The Happy Mondays (Bezz? Shaun and all his e-head brothers on guitar and some mad crack whore like female vocalist who i never liked).
Well Brown still remains and is going strong (whatever happened to Squire? Seahorses..i never even heard one good track!) and will remain a god like figure in many of our minds and will always be the brown in Sheilas sugar or was that Sallys cinnamon?
We all hope Ian Brown keeps the faith and sticks to his guns we’ll all be listening; he once said that the worst thing that ever happened to him was nearly losing his council house in Manchester not sure if that was before he got locked up in Strangeways for air rage offence when he said he was gonna cut of an air hostess’s hands…reckon his past those episode’s now and can only grow stronger. Look out for him on tour and buy his new single..the dream lives on.
Heres his best song of his new album – My Way – Stellify
Footnote: This footage was the first time most of us in Britain got to see Ian Brown and its testimonial to his guile as he single handily tells the bbc where to stick it…
Russell Brand will play a swashbuckling 14th century hero in a new action comedy. The former NME Awards host, who is currently starring in comedy Get Him To The Greek, is in talks to play the title role in Hawkwood, based on the life of 14th century mercenary John Hawkwood. Hawkwood was a gifted swordsman off dubious morality who was paid to fight on behalf […]
